The light novel also features a moment where Minori, Ami, Kitamura and Ryuuji hug and cry together, after Ryuuji accepts Taiga's decision to reconcile. In the anime, he goes alone, while in the light novel, he goes with Minori, Ami and Kitamura, who had been waiting for him at the station.
